The PDUK site is a 'slow-burn' project with the long-term goal of becoming the best UK property website. There are probably more than 100,000 UK properties advertised for sale online at any one time and our next target is 50,000 which hopefully will take less than 12 months.

PDUK has grown out of the Cambridge Property Database which has become one of the most visited Cambridge-focussed property websites and generates far more referrals to other estate agents' websites than other websites that claim to be the biggest.

A different model

People seem to like being able to search the for properties in a town or area without having to visit perhaps 20 different websites. As most agency listings are both completely free of charge and require no additional work on the agent's part in terms of data-entry or set-up, the service seems to be pretty popular with estate agents too.

The PDUK website does't yet generate any significant income. However, as the number of properties for each county begins to reach 1,000 or more advertising revenues should start to reach a level that can fund additional development which should lead to an accelaration in growth. Well, that's the theory - watch this space as they say.
